A full day of hands-on practice: atmospheric testing, entry permits and tripod rescue drills.
Confined spaces kill quickly and often claim the would-be rescuer too. This practical workshop gives entrants, attendants and supervisors the chance to rehearse the whole process under the eye of experienced instructors.
Programme
- Identifying confined spaces and their hazards
- Writing and checking an entry permit
- Gas testing before and during entry
- Rescue planning: tripod, winch and retrieval systems
- Full-scale rescue drill and debrief
Personal protective equipment is provided. Participants must be fit to wear a harness and breathing apparatus.
