This policy sets out the standards we expect from our employees, associates, centres and suppliers. We will conduct every aspect of our business with honesty, integrity and openness, respecting human rights and the interests of the people and communities we work with.
We seek to be a good corporate citizen in all that we do.
Our people
We are committed to a workforce built on mutual trust and respect, free from bullying and harassment, where everyone is treated fairly, can contribute and has the information and training needed to follow this policy.
Human rights and modern slavery
We support the principles of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. Modern slavery — including forced labour, human trafficking and exploitative child labour — is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. We will not tolerate it in our business or our supply chain.
Integrity in business
- Bribery — no one working for us may give or accept a bribe or facilitation payment. See our anti-bribery policy.
- Gifts and entertainment — never accepted or given to influence a decision. See our gifts and entertainment policy.
- Conflicts of interest — employees and associates must declare any interest that could conflict with their duties.
- Confidentiality and data protection — information received at work is used only for its proper purpose and handled in line with our privacy policy.
- Accurate records — no unrecorded account, fund or asset is ever established or maintained.
- Fair competition — we compete fairly and ethically within the law.
- Plagiarism — we use our own original work and credit sources wherever information is drawn from others.
- Political activity — ASOSH does not make donations to political parties or take part in party politics.
Customers and learners
We are committed to providing safe, accessible, good-value and consistent services, to dealing with customers honestly and respectfully, and to handling complaints fairly and promptly.
Community involvement
Our activities touch communities every day. Through our volunteers we support awareness campaigns, events and mentoring that help make workplaces safer — join them.
Health, safety and the environment
We provide safe and healthy working conditions — see our health and safety policy — and work continually to reduce our environmental impact — see our environmental policy.
Suppliers and partners
We expect our suppliers, accredited centres and partners to follow principles consistent with this policy, and we may review their practices before and during our relationship.
Malpractice and reporting
We have zero tolerance for malpractice. Anyone who has a concern about conduct that breaches this policy should report it to [email protected]. Concerns raised in good faith will be handled confidentially and without reprisal.
